Performing Arts and Visual Arts
From music and drama, to painting, drawing and ceramics, Pinehurst students explore creative expression as an integral part of their education. The arts build confidence, communication skills, and a sense of joy that carries into every subject.
Performing Arts
The performing arts are a foundational part of Pinehurst School. Students participate in two performances each year. In the winter, students prepare for our Winter Arts Showcase, an evening that includes a musical performance with student art on display. Each spring, the entire school community collaborates to put on a Spring Play. Both experiences build amazing confidence in our students and are opportunities for students to showcase their learning to the wider community.
Visual Arts
Students get an opportunity for a wide range of visual arts including painting, ceramics and fiber arts. Projects are integrated to compliment and enhance the core curriculum. The class is typically divided into youngers and olders to maximize skills at the appropriate age level for each group. Throughout the year, there are many opportunities for students to show case their work as well as sell some of their own creations at the Pinehurst School Foundation's Winterfest fundraiser the first Saturday in December.
